Deno Deploy Free plan (new platform, $0/mo) high confidence
Free plan of the new Deno Deploy (GA Feb 3, 2026). As listed on the official pricing page today: $0/mo; 1M inbound HTTP requests/mo; 10 active CPU-hours/mo; 20 GiB egress/mo; 10 GiB revision storage; 10 concurrent apps (deployments); 1 concurrent build; 15 builds/hour; 5 custom domains (no wildcard subdomains); 3 team members; 150 GiB-hr memory time; KV: 1 GiB storage, 1,000,000 KV read units/mo (4 KiB), 500,000 KV write units/mo (1 KiB); log/trace retention 1 day; app metrics history 1 month; log streaming API included; NOT included: sandboxes, volume storage, email support, SLA, SOC2 Type 1/DPA. Targeted at 'personal use and smaller projects'.
- Eligibility
- Open to everyone; sign-up free at console.deno.com. No .edu email required, no startup age/funding cap (this is a general free tier, not an education or startup program). No credit card requirement is stated anywhere on the pricing page (CTA is simply 'Start free'); the docs' usage/limits page adds that orgs can set alert thresholds and hard spending limits in the console (controls available as of Sept/Oct 2025). Regions: new Deno Deploy platform serves only 2 regions (us, eu) plus self-hosting via deployd; Classic (6 regions) is sunsetting. No other regional restriction stated.
- How to claim
- No application or activation needed: create a free account at console.deno.com, create an org/app, deploy code (deno deploy / Git integration); the free plan is the default starting tier. Upgrade to Pro/Builder/Enterprise in-console when limits are exceeded.
- Expiry
- Ongoing monthly free tier; does not expire or require renewal. Free limits reset monthly. No sunset date announced for the new platform's free plan (in contrast: Classic sunsets 2026-07-20).
- Gotchas
- (1) CPU billing is only while code actively runs; idle apps auto-shutdown in ~20-30 s, so 10 active CPU-hours is roughly equivalent of one always-busy app for ~10h. (2) Egress excludes inbound request data; 20 GiB/mo is a hard cap for Free. (3) The Free column lists no overage rates — Pro/Builder overage is $2/M requests and $0.20/GiB egress, so staying on Free means hitting caps, not paying overage. (4) The Feb 2026 GA blog describes the free tier as '1M requests, 100 GB egress, 15 CPU hours' — the current pricing page (fetched today) shows 20 GiB egress and 10 CPU-hours, i.e., the free allocation appears to have been cut since GA; trust the live pricing page. (5) No wildcard subdomains; only 5 custom domains; 3 team members; KV free bucket is small (1 GiB). (6) WebSearch was unavailable in this session (budget exhausted), so program checks relied on fetching deno.com pages directly today.
