Offers

Tally Free plan (unlimited forms & submissions) high confidence

Free tier with no hard numeric cap: unlimited forms, unlimited submissions, conditional logic, calculations, signatures, payment collection (Stripe), file uploads (10 MB per-file limit on free), custom Thank You page, redirect, password protection, 45+ languages, and integrations incl. Google Sheets, Notion, Airtable, Zapier, Make, Slack, Discord, n8n, Linear, Webhooks, API and MCP access. All subject to the fair-use policy. Paid tiers: Pro €20/mo (≈$29/mo, or $24 annual-equivalent; annual = 2 months off / 17% off) for branding removal, custom domains, unlimited team seats, partial submissions, custom CSS, respondent emails, analytics; Business €65/mo (≈$89/mo) adds data-retention controls, email verification, 90-day version history. Billing currency USD or EUR based on IP. No region limits stated; data hosted in the EU (Belgium-based, GDPR).

Eligibility
Everyone: any user, individual, student or startup. No .edu email, no age/funding criteria, no signup barrier noted for basic use; no credit card required for the free plan (credit card is only used when upgrading to Pro/Business, billed upfront).
How to claim
Go to tally.so, create an account or start a form directly (no signup required for basic form creation); free features are on by default. Paid upgrade is via sidebar 'Upgrade plan' with a (prepaid) credit card. Fair-use overage: Tally contacts you to build a custom plan with quarterly invoicing; if you decline, they give transition time to migrate.
Expiry
No expiry, no duration, no renewal — perpetual free tier with fair-use guardrails. Fair-use 'extensive usage' reference thresholds (Tally says they will contact you if consistently exceeded for 3-4 straight months): 50,000 submissions/month; 100 GB/month or 500 GB total file-upload storage; 50,000 email notifications/month. Paid subscriptions auto-renew monthly/yearly; cancel anytime via Settings → Billing, access continues to end of prepaid period; no refunds for unused time.
Gotchas
Free is 'unlimited' only within fair use — the thresholds above are the de-facto cap and overage triggers a paid custom plan (quarterly invoice), not an immediate paywall. 10 MB/file upload limit on free (unlimited uploads only on Pro). Removing Tally branding, custom domains, team seats/workspaces, partial submissions, GA/Meta Pixel, and 30/90-day version history all require paid plans. Pro/Business subscriptions may not be shared outside the registered organization (suspension risk). Trial-vs-free: Tally explicitly does NOT offer free trials of paid plans — the free plan itself is the always-free base, so there is no trial-conversion trap, but there is also no free trial of Pro. Payment failures on education/nonprofit discounts permanently block reactivation of the discount.

Tally for education (student/educator Pro discount) high confidence

30% off Tally Pro for 1 year, for a student or educator in a structured classroom. Exact prices: monthly $29 → $20; yearly $290 → $203. Eligible settings: high schools, universities, post-graduate institutions, trade schools, colleges, online bootcamps, design and coding academies (virtual or in-person). This is a discount, not a free license — there is no fully free education plan.

Eligibility
Students or educators in structured classroom programs (as listed above). No .edu email requirement stated on the page; no funding/age criteria. Discounts are for NEW customers only — existing or previously terminated Pro subscribers are excluded.
How to claim
Open https://tally.so/help/tally-for-education and use the 'Apply here' link on the page (application/approval flow; no public email address or exact form fields documented). Discount applies to Tally Pro purchase only.
Expiry
Discount lasts 1 year and is explicitly non-renewable: 'Discounts cannot be renewed and are only applicable to new customers.' Discounts cannot be reactivated after failed payments. No sunset date stated.
Gotchas
Not free: it cuts Pro from $29 to $20/mo, so you still pay. New customers only — no stacking on existing plans. Single-use: the 30% rate ends permanently after 12 months. If the first payment fails, the discount is void and cannot be reactivated. No .edu verification method is documented, so approval likely happens via the application flow.

No free trials or startup program at Tally (explicit absence) high confidence

Tally's billing help page answers 'Do you offer free trials?' with: "We don't offer free trials but are happy to answer any questions about Tally Pro or Tally Business." Their stated philosophy (help/plans-and-pricing): instead of traditional discounts, Tally focuses on giving ~99% of features free and keeping Pro/Business cheap; the only discount programs on the site are 'Tally for education' and 'Tally for non-profit'. No startup program, trial credits, or startup-age/funding-cap offer was found on any official Tally page.

Eligibility
n/a — absence of offer. Non-profit (separate, not startup) gets a permanent 30% Pro discount ($29→$20/mo, $290→$203/yr), new customers only, via https://tally.so/help/tally-for-non-profit.
How to claim
n/a. For any startup-specific deal, Tally's stated path is contacting support (hello@tally.so / contact form).
Expiry
n/a.
Gotchas
Startups simply use the same free plan as everyone else; there is no startup-tier lock-in or trial credit to claim. Third-party listings (G2, TrustRadius, formbricks/formbuilder blogs) disagree on Pro/Business prices ($29/$89 'per user' vs $24/$74 flat vs €20/€65) — trust tally.so/pricing (flat team-wide price, currency by IP), not review-site widgets.
